Resend email automation: send and schedule in Duaer

Automate email with the Resend node in Duaer: send notices from templates, schedule them, or broadcast to a segment. One API key, no code.

What can you automate with Resend in Duaer?

  • Send a confirmation from a published Resend template when an order or a form comes in.
  • Email the owner when a task is due or overdue; see Follow up on overdue work without chasing people.
  • Broadcast a weekly newsletter to the contacts of a segment.
  • Create a Resend contact and add it to a segment when a new customer lands in your CRM.
  • Start a follow-up when an email bounces or is marked as spam, with Resend Trigger.

How do you send your first email with Resend in Duaer?

  1. On the Duaer canvas, open the node panel, search for Resend, and connect it after the previous node.
  2. Under Credential to connect with, pick or create a Resend API credential. Refer to Resend credentials.
  3. Set Resource to Email and Operation to Send, and fill From, To, Subject and HTML.
  4. Select Execute step. An email ID from Resend in the output means it was sent.

What goes in the sender address?

From must use a domain verified in Resend, such as Duaer <hello@your-domain>. You can write it as Name <address>. To, CC, BCC and Reply To take several addresses separated by commas; To takes at most 50.

What can the Resend node do with email?

  • Send: send one email. Content is HTML, Text or Template (a published template, with template variables). Under Additional Fields you can add CC, BCC, Reply To, custom headers, tags, attachments (binary property names separated by commas), Scheduled At (in 1 hour, or an ISO 8601 time), Topic ID and Idempotency Key (one send per key within 24 hours).
  • Send Batch: one email per input item in a single request, split into batches of 100. A batch takes no attachments and no scheduled time.
  • Get: read one email and its latest status by ID.
  • Get Many: list sent emails, all of them or up to a limit.
  • Update: change when a scheduled email is sent.
  • Cancel: cancel a scheduled email. Resend queues a new scheduled email for about a second; meanwhile the node retries Update and Cancel by itself.

How do you manage contacts, segments and broadcasts?

  • Contact: Create, Get, Get Many, Update and Delete, by ID or email; Add to Segment and Remove From Segment. On Create you can set names, custom properties, segments to join, and whether the contact is unsubscribed from all broadcasts.
  • Segment: Create, Get, Get Many and Delete. Resend replaced Audiences with Segments, and the node uses Segments only.
  • Broadcast: Create makes a broadcast to a segment, kept as a draft unless Send Now is on, which sends it at once or at Scheduled At; Send sends or schedules a draft; Get, Get Many and Delete.

How do you read the output and failures?

Each input item returns one output item; json is the data Resend returned. Get Many returns one item per record. When Resend reports an error, the node fails with Resend’s message.

You can add the node to an AI Agent tool input. When an agent sends email with it, Duaer treats it as sending to a channel, governed by approval rules like other email nodes.

To have due and overdue work emailed and followed up automatically, open the Duaer home page.
