Set up a Resend API key in Duaer
Create a Resend API key and paste it into a Resend API credential in Duaer. Sending access sends email; contacts and webhooks need Full access.
How do you create a Resend credential in Duaer?
- On the Resend API Keys page, create an API key. Sending access is enough to send email; contacts, segments, broadcasts and Resend Trigger need Full access.
- In Duaer, create a Resend API credential under Credentials, paste the key and save.
- On the Resend node or Resend Trigger, select that credential under Credential to connect with. Node notes are under Use Resend in Duaer.
Sending access or Full access?
- Sending access: sends email only. Enough for workflows that use Send and Send Batch.
- Full access: also reads email and manages contacts, segments, broadcasts and webhooks. Resend Trigger and those operations need it.
What if the test fails when you save?
Duaer reads Resend’s domain list to test the connection. A Sending access key cannot read it, so the test shows a failure, but sending still works. When a Full access key fails the test, the key is wrong or was deleted.
Verify the sender’s domain on the Resend Domains page first, or Resend refuses to send.
Questions
What access does the Resend credential in Duaer need?
Sending access is enough to send email; contacts, segments, broadcasts and Resend Trigger need Full access.
Can Duaer still send through Resend when the credential test fails?
With a Sending access key, yes: the test fails but sending works. With a Full access key, a failed test means the key is wrong.
