Resend webhooks in Duaer: act on email events

Resend Trigger starts a Duaer workflow when an email is delivered, bounces, is opened or clicked. Duaer registers the webhook and checks signatures.

What can you automate with Resend Trigger?

  • When an email bounces, flag the contact in your CRM or tell the sales owner.
  • When a recipient marks an email as spam, unsubscribe the contact from broadcasts with the Resend node.
  • When a customer clicks a link in a quote email, create a follow-up card for the owner.
  • Log every delivered email as a sending record.

How do you set up Resend Trigger?

  1. On the Duaer canvas, add Resend Trigger and choose a Resend API credential. The credential needs Full access to manage webhooks.
  2. Under Events, choose what to receive, such as Email Delivered, Email Bounced or Email Opened.
  3. Activate the workflow. Duaer registers a webhook in Resend and keeps its signing secret; deactivating the workflow deletes the webhook.

Which events can it receive?

  • Email: Email Sent, Email Delivered, Email Delivery Delayed, Email Bounced, Email Complained, Email Opened, Email Clicked, Email Failed, Email Scheduled, Email Received, Email Suppressed.
  • Contact: Contact Created, Contact Updated, Contact Deleted.
  • Domain: Domain Created, Domain Updated, Domain Deleted.

How does Duaer know a request came from Resend?

Every request carries Resend’s signature and timestamp. When the signature does not match, or the time is more than 5 minutes off, Duaer answers 401 and does not start the workflow.

Resend must reach the Duaer webhook URL from the internet. A Duaer running only on your machine, at a localhost address, receives no events.

What does the output look like?

Each event returns one output item. json is the event Resend sent: type is the event name, and data holds the email, contact or domain details.

To have due and overdue work emailed and followed up automatically, open the Duaer home page.
