Answer new-hire questions with AI using Duaer
Most new-hire questions are already answered in policies, handbooks, and process documents. Connect them to the Duaer knowledge base and add a Read first collection. New people ask and look things up on their own, each answer cites its source, and colleagues stop answering the same question for the tenth time.
What do new hires usually ask?
- How do I file an expense, and what has to be on the receipt?
- How long is probation, and how is paid leave counted?
- Who gives me access to this system?
- How is our product different from the alternatives?
Every one of these has an answer. New people just don’t know which document holds it, and they don’t like asking twice.
How do you set up new-hire Q&A in Duaer?
- Connect the spaces or folders that hold the handbook, policies, and product material to the Duaer knowledge base.
- Under Collections, create one called Read first and add what people need in their first week. An organization can have up to 30 collections of up to 50 items each.
- Write verified answers for the ten or so questions people ask most. Duaer shows them first and flags them when their review date comes up.
- Invite new people with the Employee role. They sign in to the Duaer employee portal and ask under Knowledge base, or ask Duaer in Feishu or WeCom.
- After the first week, read the Helpful and Not helpful feedback and fill the gaps.
Who should a new hire ask when the documents don’t say?
Next to the results, Ask lists the colleagues who wrote or edited the related documents. New people know who to go to without posting in a big group chat.
When someone leaves, how does their know-how stay?
Put handover notes and project reviews in a connected space and Duaer indexes them with everything else. After the person leaves, the next one can still ask.
Questions
Can Duaer replace onboarding?
Not entirely. Duaer answers what is written down; people and culture still need a person. What Duaer removes is answering the same question over and over.
Can a new hire see every document in Duaer?
No. Duaer follows the source system’s permissions, so a new hire sees only files they can open there.

Employees can’t find company information? Let them ask Duaer
Employees can’t find company information because it is spread across several systems under names they wouldn’t guess. Connect those places to the Duaer knowledge base and let people ask in their own words. Duaer answers, links the source, and shows who else to ask.
Knowledge baseHow to build an AI assistant on your company documents with Duaer (no code)
You can build an AI assistant on your company documents without code. In Duaer, connect the places your documents already live and let the knowledge base index them. People then ask in plain words, and each answer cites its sources and uses only what that person may open.
Knowledge basePermission-aware enterprise AI search: how Duaer keeps document access intact
Permission-aware enterprise AI search filters results by what each person may open in the source system, before any answer is written. Duaer follows the source’s permissions: a document shows up only for people who can open it where it lives, and answers use only those documents.
Organizations and teamsGive employees their own Duaer employee portal
The Duaer employee portal is a separate sign-in address for each organization. Employees see the tasks and decisions workflows push to them and the metrics they follow, and can ask Duaer about them, without opening the workflow editor.
Organizations and teamsInvite members and set roles in a Duaer organization
Add teammates to your Duaer organization by email. Four roles make it clear who manages people, who manages money, who builds, and who only works in the employee portal.
