Duaer browser sidebar: search from any web page
The Duaer sidebar for Chrome and Edge opens your company knowledge base beside any web page: search, ask, and see what relates to the page.
What does the sidebar do?
- Search and ask: type a question; the sidebar shows a cited answer and the matching documents, cases and cards, as on the portal’s Knowledge page.
- Related to this page: when the sidebar is open, it searches by the open page’s title, for example a Jira issue or a Confluence page, and lists up to five related items. It reads the page title and address only, never the page’s text, and only while the sidebar is open.
- A result opens its own link in a new tab; an item without a link opens the portal’s Knowledge page.
How do I install it?
The sidebar is installed from a package for now; a store listing comes later.
- On the Duaer portal, open Browser sidebar in the menu and click Download, then unzip the package.
- Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions in Edge), turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
- Pin Duaer sidebar to the toolbar and click it to open the side panel.
The Browser sidebar page shows the same steps, with your portal address to copy. An administrator can also push the extension to everyone with the browser’s enterprise policy for installing extensions.
How do I sign in?
- In the sidebar, enter your Duaer portal address, for example https://acme.duaer.site, and click Sign in.
- Allow the browser to reach that address.
- A Duaer window opens. Sign in to the portal if asked, then click Allow on Connect the Duaer browser sidebar.
The sidebar now reads as you. Sign out in the sidebar to end it; leaving the organization ends it too.

Questions
Can the Duaer sidebar read my mail or other pages?
No. It reads only what you may see in the Duaer knowledge base, and only the title and address of the page open in the tab while the sidebar is open.
Does the Duaer sidebar work in Firefox or Safari?
Not yet. Chrome and Edge are supported.

Permission-aware enterprise AI search: how Duaer keeps document access intact
Permission-aware enterprise AI search filters results by what each person may open in the source system, before any answer is written. Duaer follows the source’s permissions: a document shows up only for people who can open it where it lives, and answers use only those documents.
Knowledge baseTurn SharePoint and Google Drive into a Q&A knowledge base with Duaer
Connect SharePoint, Google Drive, Notion, Jira, Salesforce, Zendesk and more to the Duaer knowledge base. Files stay put; answers cite the source.
Knowledge baseHow to build an AI assistant on your company documents with Duaer (no code)
You can build an AI assistant on your company documents without code. In Duaer, connect the places your documents already live and let the knowledge base index them. People then ask in plain words, and each answer cites its sources and uses only what that person may open.
Knowledge baseAI answers with citations and no hallucination: how Duaer does it
To get AI answers with citations and without made-up facts, do three things: answer only from documents the person may read, mark which file each statement comes from, and give no answer when there is no source. The Duaer knowledge base answers this way by default.
