Troubleshooting

Fix the Duaer webhook 404 "is not registered" error

When a Duaer webhook call returns 404 with "is not registered", the test URL is not listening or the digital organization behind the production URL is not published.

The Duaer error text

  • The requested webhook "POST your-path" is not registered.
  • This webhook is not registered for GET requests. Did you mean to make a POST request?

The first means nothing is registered at that address. The second means the address is right but the HTTP method is wrong.

Test URL versus production URL

The Duaer Webhook node has two addresses. The Test URL path has /webhook-test/, the Production URL has /webhook/. They behave differently:

  • Test URL: works only after you select Execute workflow or Listen for test event, and only for one call. A second call returns 404. Select it again and retry.
  • Production URL: registered only once the digital organization is published. Unpublished or deactivated means 404. Select Publish at the top right. Refer to Save and publish a digital organization in Duaer.
  • Give outside systems the Production URL. Use the Test URL only to see one run on the canvas.

Other common causes

  • Wrong method: the second error. Set the Webhook HTTP Method to what the caller sends, or change the caller.
  • Changed path: after editing Path, publish again. The old address stops working at once.
  • Production calls do not show on the canvas. Check Executions instead.

Questions

Why does the Duaer webhook Test URL return 404 on the second call?

The Duaer Test URL takes one call per Execute workflow click. Select it again for another test, and use the Production URL for real traffic.

The Duaer digital organization is published, yet the production URL returns 404?

Check that the caller uses /webhook/, not /webhook-test/, and that the method and Path match the Duaer Webhook node. Publish again after changing Path.
