# Fix a Duaer Schedule Trigger that runs at the wrong time

When a Duaer Schedule Trigger set for 9am runs at 9pm or 12 to 13 hours off, the time zone is wrong.
## Why it is 12 or 13 hours off

Duaer reads Trigger at Hour in the time zone of the digital organization. Without its own setting it uses the instance zone, and a self-hosted instance without GENERIC_TIMEZONE defaults to America/New_York.

## Change the time zone in Duaer

1. One digital organization: open settings from the menu at the top right of the canvas, pick your zone under Timezone, and save.
2. A whole self-hosted instance: set GENERIC_TIMEZONE, such as Europe/Berlin, and restart. Every digital organization without its own zone follows.
3. Publish again and check the next run in [Executions](/build/executions.md).

## Right hour, wrong day

$now in expressions uses the same zone. Yesterday is {{ $now.minus({ days: 1 }).toFormat("yyyy-MM-dd") }}. Refer to [Work with dates using Luxon in Duaer](/code/cookbook/luxon.md).
## Questions

### What is the default Duaer time zone?

Self-hosted Duaer without GENERIC_TIMEZONE defaults to America/New_York. Each Duaer digital organization can set its own Timezone in settings.

### Do I need to publish again after changing the Duaer time zone?

Yes. Duaer registers schedules when you publish, so publish again to use the new zone.
