Word table to Excel converter (.docx)

How to use it

- Save old .doc files as .docx in Word or WPS first.
Conversion rules
- Only real Word tables are read; layouts faked with spaces or tabs are not.
- Horizontally merged cells: the value goes in the first cell and the rest stay blank. Vertically merged cells keep the value in the first row.
- Text from a table nested inside a cell is merged into that cell.
Automate it in Duaer
If these tables arrive every week, ask the sender for Excel or CSV instead: Duaer reads them with Extract from File and combines them as in Merge Excel files, so nobody converts by hand.
Questions
Why does it say no table was found?
The "table" may be text aligned with spaces, or a pasted image. The Duaer converter reads Word table objects only.
Does a .docx saved from WPS work?
Yes. WPS saves the same .docx format as Word, and the Duaer converter reads both.
