# Screen resumes in bulk against a job description with Duaer

In Duaer, upload many PDF resumes with a job description; the resume screening employee scores each one with matches and risks, sorted and exported to Excel.
## Build the resume screening flow in Duaer

1. Hire the [Duaer resume screening employee](https://hire.duaer.com/resume-screen/) and copy its ID under Hired.
2. Add [Form Trigger](/build/form-trigger.md) with a Textarea field labelled Job and a File field labelled Resumes, Multiple Files on, Accepted File Types .pdf.
3. Add [Code](/build/code.md), rename it Split files, and paste the [split-files code from the invoice flow](/tasks/pdf-invoices-to-excel.md). The Job field travels with every item.
4. Add [Extract from File](/build/extract-from-file.md) with Operation Extract From PDF.
5. Add [Duaer Employee](/build/duaer-employee.md), paste the ID, and set Input to {"job": {{ JSON.stringify($('Split files').item.json.Job) }}, "resume": {{ JSON.stringify($json.text) }}}.
6. Add [Sort](/build/sort.md) on score, descending, type Number; then [Convert to File](/build/convert-to-file.md) to XLSX.

## Read Duaer resume screening results

- score: 0 to 100.
- matches: points that meet the job description.
- risks: gaps or concerns, or none.
- recommendation: advance, maybe, or reject.

Results come only from the resume text. Use them to sort and save time; a person still makes the hiring decision. Each resume costs 8 credits.

### Can Duaer resume screening read Word files?

This Duaer flow reads PDF. Save Word resumes as PDF first, or paste the text into the form for the employee.

### Does Duaer decide who to hire?

No. The Duaer resume screening employee returns a score, matches, risks, and a recommendation; a person makes the decision.
