Duaer

Snippets

Join two lists by a key field in Duaer (like VLOOKUP)

In Duaer, the Merge node matches two inputs on a field such as order number or email, then keeps matches, enriches one side, or lists what does not match.

Join on a field in Duaer

  1. Connect the two lists to Input 1 and Input 2 of Merge, such as orders and payments.
  2. Set Mode to Combine and Combine By to Matching Fields.
  3. When the field has the same name on both sides, set Fields to Match to order_id; otherwise turn on Fields To Match Have Different Names and fill Input 1 Field and Input 2 Field.
  4. Choose an Output Type (below) and select Execute step.

Choose the Output Type in Duaer Merge

  • Keep Matches: only rows on both sides, like an inner join.
  • Enrich Input 1: every Input 1 row, plus Input 2 fields where they match, like VLOOKUP or a left join.
  • Keep Non-Matches: only rows that do not match, for reconciliation.
  • Keep Everything: all rows from both sides.

The number 123 does not match the text "123". Turn on Fuzzy Compare under Options, or align types in Edit Fields first. When both sides share a field name, pick which wins with Clash Handling under Options.

Questions

Why does Duaer Merge miss rows with the same order number?

Usually one side is a number and the other text, or there are spaces. Turn on Fuzzy Compare in Duaer Merge options, or trim and align types first.

How do I reconcile two lists in Duaer?

In Duaer Merge, use Combine By Matching Fields with Output Type Keep Non-Matches.
