# Invite members and set roles in a Duaer organization

Add teammates to your Duaer organization by email. Three roles make it clear who manages people, who manages money, and who just gets the work done.
## Invite a teammate to your Duaer organization in three steps

1. Open Duaer Settings › Organization.
2. Type the teammate’s email, choose Member or Admin, and click Invite.
3. People who already have a Duaer account join right away. New people get an invite email and show as Pending until they finish signing up.

If the invite email cannot be sent, the page says to copy the invite link below and send it to them. Click Copy link and send it over chat or email.

## The three Duaer organization roles

- Owner: the person who created the organization. There is exactly one. The owner can do everything and is the only one who can make someone an admin or take admin away.
- Admin: helps the owner run things. Admins invite and remove members, change the plan, buy credits, and manage API keys, own model keys, custom roles, organization SSO, and organization variables.
- Member: focuses on the work. Members build and run digital organizations in the projects they belong to and spend the organization’s credits. They can see the plan and credits but not change them.

Organization roles cover the organization as a whole. Who can edit or only view inside a project is set by project roles — refer to [custom roles](/user-management/rbac/custom-roles.md).

## Credits belong to the Duaer organization

The organization’s plan and credits are the owner’s wallet: once the monthly allowance runs out, purchased credits kick in automatically, and purchased credits never expire. When members run digital organizations in the organization’s projects, the organization pays, not the member.

The owner and admins change the plan and top up under Settings › Usage and plan. Under Settings › Spend, switching to Organization shows this month’s total and each member’s share. Members see Usage and plan as read-only.

## Remove a member or leave a Duaer organization

The owner and admins click Remove in the member list. Admins can remove members but not other admins. A removed person loses access to the organization’s team projects and anything shared with them there, while their own organization and its contents stay untouched.

Members and admins can also click Leave organization themselves. The owner cannot leave their own organization.

## Switch between Duaer organizations

The Organization switcher at the top of the left sidebar lists every organization you belong to. Pick one and the page returns to the home screen with that organization’s digital organizations, credentials, executions, data tables, and people.

Click New in the switcher and enter an organization name to start another organization that you own.
## Questions

### What if the Duaer invite email never arrives?

When Duaer cannot send the invite email, the Organization page gives you an invite link. Click Copy link and send it; once they finish signing up, they join your organization.

### Do I keep my own things after joining another Duaer organization?

Yes. Joining another Duaer organization does not touch your own. Use the Organization switcher at the top of the left sidebar to go back any time.

### Whose credits do Duaer members spend?

The organization’s. When members run digital organizations in a Duaer organization’s projects, the organization pays, and the owner and admins can see each member’s share under Spend.
