# Duaer organizations: bring your team along

Every Duaer account comes with its own organization. Invite your team to share digital organizations, data, and credits — nobody outside can see any of it.
## Sign up for Duaer and you already have an organization

The moment you sign up for Duaer, an organization is set up for you, and you are its owner. The digital organizations you build, the credentials you save, your data tables, and your execution history all live inside it, visible only to people in that organization.

Other teams use Duaer too, but organizations are fully walled off from each other. Nobody can see, search, or change anything in yours.

## Bring your teammates in, with the right access

In Duaer Settings › Organization, type a teammate’s email, pick a role, and click Invite. People who already have a Duaer account join right away. New people get an invite email — and if it never arrives, the page hands you an invite link to send yourself.

There are only three roles — Owner, Admin, and Member — so it is obvious who can do what. Refer to [invite members and set roles](/organizations/members.md).

## One wallet for the whole team

In a Duaer organization, the plan and credits belong to the organization, so nobody tops up on their own. The owner and admins change the plan and buy credits. Members run digital organizations in the organization’s projects and spend its credits.

You always know where the credits went: the owner and admins open Settings › Spend, switch to Organization, and see this month’s total and how much each person used.

## Use your own model keys and spend no Duaer credits

Already have an account and quota with a model provider? Add its API key under Duaer Settings › Own model keys, and every call to that provider in your organization runs on your own bill — Duaer stops charging credits for it. Remove the key any time to switch back to the Duaer platform key. Refer to [own model keys](/organizations/own-model-keys.md).

## Custom project roles, free on every plan

Need more than the built-in Duaer project roles? Say a contractor should edit digital organizations but never touch credentials, or a client should only see executions. Create a role in Duaer Settings › Roles, tick the permissions it needs, and you are done — no plan upgrade. Refer to [custom roles](/user-management/rbac/custom-roles.md).

## Sign in to Duaer with your company account

Your company already signs in through Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, or Okta? Connect it to your Duaer organization, and teammates click one sign-in link and come in with their company account — no extra password to remember. It is free. Refer to [organization SSO](/organizations/sso.md).

## Save a setting once, use it everywhere

Store shared settings such as an API base URL or an environment name as Duaer organization variables. Every digital organization in the organization reads them through $vars, so one edit updates them all. When a project needs a different value, create a project variable with the same key and it wins. Refer to [variables](/code/variables.md).

## Tags that belong to your team only

Duaer workflow tags and execution tags belong to the organization. Name them however you like without clashing with another organization, and renaming or deleting a tag only affects your team. Refer to [share and tags](/build/share-and-tags.md).

## API and MCP access stays inside the organization

A key you create in Duaer Settings › API belongs to the current organization. An outside system holding that key can only read and write that organization’s data, never what you have in other organizations.

## Belong to several Duaer organizations

Joining someone else’s organization does not remove yours. The Organization switcher at the top of the left sidebar takes you back and forth, and your digital organizations, credits, and settings switch with it.

Want to keep client work apart from internal work? Click New in the switcher, enter an organization name, and you own a second organization.
## Questions

### Is a Duaer organization the same as a digital organization?

No. In Duaer, a digital organization is an automation you build on the canvas. An organization is the team space that holds them, together with members, credits, credentials, and settings.

### Can another Duaer organization see my data?

No. Duaer organizations are fully walled off. Digital organizations, credentials, executions, data tables, variables, and tags are only visible inside their own organization, and an API key only reaches the organization that created it.

### Do Duaer custom roles and organization SSO cost extra?

No. Duaer custom project roles and organization SSO are free on every plan, and own model keys can even save you the credits you would spend on model calls.
