# Use the AI assistant on Duaer cloud

The Duaer cloud AI assistant is toggled in Settings and helps edit digital organizations.
## The cloud toggle

1. Open Settings on the cloud instance.
2. Turn the AI assistant on or off.
3. Return to the editor and confirm the assistant responds.

The docs link in that copy points here. The assistant can use the digital organization you are working on. Exact capability follows the plan on that instance. A self-hosted instance uses [set-up-ai-assistant](/deploy/host-n8n/configure-n8n/set-up-ai-assistant.md). Do not mix that page with this one.

### Is the Duaer cloud AI assistant the same as self-hosted instance AI?

Not exactly. On cloud you toggle it in Settings, and docs link here. Self-hosted setups configure models, sandbox, and environment variables on the set-up-ai-assistant page.
