# Create a custom node for Duaer

Write a node package for Duaer when built-in nodes and custom operations are not enough and you will reuse the step.
## Check that you need one

Most Duaer digital organizations use built-in nodes only. When an app node lacks an endpoint, use [custom operations](/integrations/custom-operations.md) first: HTTP Request reuses the credential already saved for that app. Write a node only when several digital organizations will reuse the same step.
