# Common issues with Google Sheets Trigger in Duaer

## Stuck waiting for a trigger event <a href="#stuck-waiting-for-trigger-event" id="stuck-waiting-for-trigger-event"></a>

When you test Google Sheets Trigger in the editor, Duaer pushes results back to the page over WebSocket. If a self-hosted Duaer sits behind a reverse proxy that does not forward WebSocket, the page keeps waiting.

Turn on WebSocket forwarding in your proxy (Nginx, Caddy, Traefik, and so on). If you cannot, set DUAER_PUSH_BACKEND to sse. Then close and reopen the digital organization.

## Date and time columns show as numbers <a href="#date-and-time-columns-are-rendering-as-numbers" id="date-and-time-columns-are-rendering-as-numbers"></a>

By default dates come out as serial numbers: the whole part is days since 1899-12-30 and the fraction is the time of day (0.5 is noon). With Trigger On set to Row Added, add DateTime Render under Options and set it to Formatted String to get the text as formatted in the sheet.
