# Common issues with Telegram in Duaer

Common Telegram node issues in Duaer: bot not in the channel, finding the Chat ID, the 30-per-second limit, and the attribution line.
## Bot is not in the channel <a href="#add-a-bot-to-a-telegram-channel" id="add-a-bot-to-a-telegram-channel"></a>

On Forbidden: bot is not a participant of the channel, add the bot first: open the channel info in Telegram, choose Administrators > Add Admin, search for the bot username, and confirm.

## Get the Chat ID <a href="#get-the-chat-id" id="get-the-chat-id"></a>

@channelusername only works for public channels. Groups need a Chat ID:

- Receive a group message with [Telegram Trigger](/integrations/builtin/trigger-nodes/duaer-nodes-base.telegramtrigger.md); the output has chat.id.
- Open the group in Telegram Web and prefix the digits after g in the address with -.

## Send more than 30 messages per second <a href="#send-more-than-30-messages-per-second" id="send-more-than-30-messages-per-second"></a>

Telegram lets a bot send at most 30 messages per second. Use [Loop Over Items](/integrations/builtin/core-nodes/duaer-nodes-base.splitinbatches.md) with at most 30 chat IDs per batch, then a [Wait](/integrations/builtin/core-nodes/duaer-nodes-base.wait.md) of at least one second before looping back.

## Remove the Duaer attribution from sent messages <a href="#remove-the-duaer-attribution-from-sent-messages" id="remove-the-duaer-attribution-from-sent-messages"></a>

By default the message ends with This message was sent automatically with Duaer. Add Append Duaer Attribution under Additional Fields and turn it off.

Enter the group Chat ID (starting with -) in the Duaer Telegram node. @username only works for public channels.
