# Common issues with Gmail in Duaer

Common Gmail node issues in Duaer: the attribution line, Forbidden, 401, and bad parameters.
## Remove the Duaer attribution from sent emails <a href="#remove-the-duaer-attribution-from-sent-messages" id="remove-the-duaer-attribution-from-sent-messages"></a>

When sending or replying, the email ends with This email was sent automatically with Duaer by default. Add Append Duaer Attribution under Options and turn it off.

## Forbidden - perhaps check your credentials? <a href="#forbidden-perhaps-check-your-credentials" id="forbidden-perhaps-check-your-credentials"></a>

Often shown next to dropdowns such as Label Names or IDs. Usually a Google service account without Impersonate a User. Turn it on in the [service account credential](/integrations/builtin/credentials/google/service-account.md) and enter the mailbox to act as.

## 401 unauthorized_client <a href="#id-401-unauthorized-error" id="id-401-unauthorized-error"></a>

The full error looks like 401 - {"error":"unauthorized_client", ...}. The credential has the wrong permissions or scopes:

- [OAuth2 credential](/integrations/builtin/credentials/google/oauth-generic.md#scopes): enable Gmail API under APIs & Services > Library in the Google Cloud console.
- [Service account credential](/integrations/builtin/credentials/google/service-account.md): turn on domain-wide delegation for the service account in the Google Workspace admin console and add the scopes Gmail API needs.

## Bad request - please check your parameters <a href="#bad-request-please-check-your-parameters" id="bad-request-please-check-your-parameters"></a>

Usually a Message ID, Thread ID, or Label ID that does not exist. Run a Get with the same ID to confirm it exists.
