# Common issues with Discord in Duaer

Common Discord node issues in Duaer: extra embed fields, mentioning users and channels, and moderation permission errors.
## Add extra fields to embeds <a href="#add-extra-fields-to-embeds" id="add-extra-fields-to-embeds"></a>

Message > Send supports Embeds. Enter Fields covers common fields such as Description, Author, Title, URL, and images. For fields not listed, such as footer or fields, set Input Method to Raw JSON and write JSON in Value:

## Mention users and channels <a href="#mention-users-and-channels" id="mention-users-and-channels"></a>

Use IDs, not display names: <@USER_ID> for a user, <#CHANNEL_ID> for a channel, <@&ROLE_ID> for a role. Turn on Developer Mode in Discord settings, then right-click to copy an ID.

## Moderation actions fail with Missing Permissions <a href="#moderation-actions-fail-with-a-permissions-error" id="moderation-actions-fail-with-a-permissions-error"></a>

Ban, Unban, Kick, and Timeout under Member need the matching bot permission (Ban Members, Kick Members, Moderate Members), and the bot’s highest role must be above the target member’s. They never work on the server owner. Adjust under Roles in the server settings, then run again.
