# Turn SharePoint and Google Drive into a Q&A knowledge base with Duaer

To turn SharePoint, OneDrive, or Google Drive into a Q&A knowledge base, connect them to the Duaer knowledge base. Files stay where they are. Duaer reads and indexes them, and people ask questions and get answers that link to the source file.
## Do the files have to move?

No. Duaer only reads and indexes them. Files stay where they are and people keep editing them there. When you disconnect a source, its content leaves the index.

## How do you connect Microsoft 365 (OneDrive and SharePoint)?

1. In your company’s Microsoft admin portal, register an app with the read-only permissions Files.Read.All and Sites.Read.All, and grant admin consent.
2. As an owner or admin, open Knowledge base › Data sources in Duaer and create a credential for that app on the Microsoft 365 files card.
3. Click Connect. After “Connected. Indexing has started.”, give it a little time.
4. Ask a question whose answer is in a SharePoint file and check that the source points to that file.

## How do you connect Google Drive?

1. Have a Google Drive OAuth2 credential, or a Google OAuth2 credential with the drive.readonly scope.
2. On the Google Drive card, choose the credential and click Connect.
3. Only files that account can read are indexed. Make sure it can read whatever people should be able to ask about.

## What about WeCom WeDrive?

After connecting a credential on the WeCom card, click Add space and enter a WeDrive space ID, or click Create knowledge space.

## What are the limits?

- Each Google or Microsoft source reads up to 5,000 files and up to 200,000 characters per file. Microsoft sources read up to 100 drives.
- Files over 20 MB or in other formats are indexed by title only.
- Permissions follow the source and are re-read every hour. Google groups and SharePoint site groups are not expanded yet.

### Will Duaer change files in our drive or SharePoint?

No. Duaer reads files with read-only permissions to index them. It doesn’t write or move anything.

Duaer reads changed files every 10 minutes. To hurry it, click Index now on the source card.
