# Search HubSpot in your knowledge base with Duaer

Connect HubSpot to the Duaer knowledge base. People ask about companies, deals and tickets; a record opens to its owner, their team and admins.
## What does Duaer find in HubSpot?

Duaer indexes companies, contacts, deals and tickets, up to 1,000 of each, the most recently changed first. A company’s domain and industry, a contact’s job title, a deal’s stage and amount and a ticket’s priority and description are all searchable.

People can ask “What stage is the Initech expansion deal in?”. Duaer answers with a citation, and the citation opens the record in HubSpot.

## How do you connect HubSpot to Duaer?

1. In Duaer, create a HubSpot OAuth2 API credential, or create a private app in HubSpot and use its access token in a HubSpot Service Key credential. The app needs read access to companies, contacts, deals, tickets and owners.
2. As an owner or admin, open Knowledge base › Data sources, choose the credential on the HubSpot card and click Connect.
3. When indexing is done, ask a question whose answer is in a HubSpot record and check that the citation points to that record.

## Who finds which record?

- The record’s owner.
- Members on the same HubSpot team as the owner.
- The owners and admins of the Duaer organization.
- A record without an owner is found by owners and admins only.

Members are matched by email to HubSpot users. Archived HubSpot users are left out.

## What are the limits?

- Up to 1,000 records of each object, the most recently changed first.
- Notes, emails and HubSpot knowledge base articles are not read; HubSpot has no public API for them.

### Does Duaer change data in HubSpot?

No. Duaer only reads records to index them. It never writes or edits.

### Who finds a HubSpot record without an owner in Duaer?
