# Generate a video with Duaer Video

In Duaer, Duaer Video turns a prompt into a video clip and returns the MP4. You can set a first frame, a last frame, duration, resolution, and aspect ratio.
## Generate a clip

1. Search for Duaer Video and connect it after the previous node.
2. In Prompt, describe the scene, the motion, and the camera. For example: a paper kite rising over a quiet beach at sunrise, slow camera pan.
3. Open the Model dropdown and pick a video model.
4. If needed, select Add Option and set Aspect Ratio, Duration (Seconds), or Resolution.
5. Select Execute step. Duaer Video waits until the clip is ready, usually one to a few minutes and at most 15. The output has the MP4 in the binary field data, plus taskId, model, duration in seconds, and prompt.

To join several clips, pass them to Duaer Video Concat. To add background music, pass the clip to Duaer Video Music.

## Start or end a Duaer Video clip on an image

Under Options, add First Frame Binary Field or Last Frame Binary Field and enter the binary field that holds the image in the previous node, such as data. Duaer Video starts the clip on that image or ends on it. When the field is not an image, Duaer Video stops before submitting and charges nothing.

## Which models Duaer Video offers

The Model dropdown lists every video model your Duaer admin enabled under Admin → Model pool, such as Wan or Hailuo on OpenRouter, or Seedance on Volcengine Ark. Models marked Billed at the source's reported cost are charged at the cost the source reports.

Each clip is charged to the workflow owner's AI credits; a failed generation is free. For credit allowances, refer to [Duaer plans and credits](/manage-cloud/plans.md).
## Questions

### Why is the Duaer Video model dropdown empty?

Your Duaer admin has not enabled a video model under Admin → Model pool, or the enabled Seedance sits on a Volcengine Ark Agent Plan base (/api/plan/v3), which Duaer Video cannot use. Switch that source to the standard Ark base https://ark.cn-beijing.volces.com/api/v3 with its own API key.

### What should I do when Duaer Video reports "Duaer video timed out"?

Duaer Video waits at most 15 minutes. Try a shorter duration or a lower resolution, or pick a faster video model.
