# Remove a background with Duaer Cutout

In Duaer, Duaer Cutout keeps the subject and replaces the background with plain white.
## Remove the background

1. Connect the node that holds the image to Duaer Cutout. It reads binary field data by default.
2. Open Model and pick an image model. The charge is one image.
3. Select Execute step. The subject keeps its shape, colors, and details. The background is plain white.
4. The file is named duaer-cutout-1. The canvas follows the source shape.

The result is a white background, not a transparent channel. Call skill: [Duaer Cutout](https://skills.duaer.com/cutout.md).
## Questions

### Can Duaer Cutout return a transparent PNG?

No. The image route usually cannot return transparency, so Duaer Cutout places the subject on plain white.
