Let Claude read and write Google Sheets through a Duaer MCP server

In Duaer, expose Google Sheets read and append as MCP tools with Duaer Server Trigger, so Claude can look up and add rows on request.

Build the sheet tools in Duaer

  1. Create a digital organization and add Duaer Server Trigger.
  2. Authentication: Duaer User Auth (OAuth2) for Claude on the web; Bearer Auth with a long random token credential for Claude Code or Cursor.
  3. On Tools attach Google Sheets with Operation Get Row(s) and your sheet. Describe the tool clearly, such as Look up orders by customer name.
  4. Attach another Google Sheets with Operation Append Row. Let the model define the columns it should fill with the button next to each field, or use $fromAI.
  5. Publish and copy the Production URL, which looks like https://your-duaer-host/mcp/<path>.

Connect it in Claude

  • Claude on the web or desktop: Connectors in Settings, Add custom connector, paste the Production URL, and approve in Duaer.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http sheets <Production URL> --header "Authorization: Bearer <token>".

This is a digital-organization server with a few tools. To let Claude manage and run all your digital organizations, use the instance /mcp-server/http instead. Refer to Connect Claude to Duaer with MCP.

Questions

How does Duaer Server Trigger differ from the instance MCP server?

Duaer Server Trigger exposes only the tools you attach at /mcp/<path>; the instance MCP server at /mcp-server/http manages and runs every Duaer digital organization you can access.

Why can a client not reach my Duaer MCP tool URL?

Publish the Duaer digital organization and use the Production URL; the test URL works only while the editor is listening.
