# Turn Agents on in Duaer

In Duaer, Settings > Agents turns Agents on for the instance and shows the sandbox shared with Duaer Designer.
## Turn Agents on for the instance

1. Open Settings > Agents.
2. Turn on Enable Agents.

Turning it off blocks new runs and cancels pending messages. A run that has already started can finish. Saved agents and history stay, and they are available again when you turn Agents back on.

## Shared sandbox

Agents and Duaer Designer use the same sandbox connection. A change on this page affects both.

When Duaer Designer is off, set the sandbox with environment variables, or turn Duaer Designer on and manage the sandbox here.

## Limits on one agent

1. Open Usage and limits on that agent.
2. Set a monthly budget, an alert percent, and a cost cap per session.

The agent stops when it reaches the monthly budget or the session cap. The budget alert needs a monthly budget.

## Offer the agent in Duaer Chat

After you make the agent available, everyone in that project can find it in Duaer Chat. The description is optional. Use it to say what the agent can help with.
